The Role:



GKN Aerospace Luton are recruiting two Operational Team Leaders to join a high performing team providing support to the Wings & Rotors Focussed Factory. Reporting to the Cell Leader and/or Factory Manager the role of Team Leader is critical to ensuring the Focus Factory hits its key metrics of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.











Key Responsibilities

+ The main responsibilities are:



- Liaison with other Cells as necessary to ensure the best results are achieved for the Focused Factory as a whole

+ - Motivation of those in the Cell to achieve targets





- Identification and escalation of issues to ensure targets are met

+ -Ensuring compliance with company specifications and procedures

+ - Identification of opportunities to ensure continuous improvement















Qualifications / Experience / Skills











The successful candidates will be reliable, self-motivated, good team players and have the drive to succeed alongside the following attributes:





Essential

+ - Leadership and motivational skills.

+ - Planning & organisational skills.

+ - Good communication skills.

+ - Basic Computer skills –Word, Excel.

+ - Exposure to Lean Manufacturing.







Desirable

+ - Any experience leading or managing a team.
